About Teams
Teams is a feature that allows you to group users together and assign events or tasks to those groups. This means that you can track the performance of individual teams through filters and various reports.
Select the Staff from the navigation menu on the left of the page.
Select Teams.
Here you can see any teams that have been created previously. You can edit any team on this list by simply clicking on the team name.
To create a new team select Create team at the top right of the page.
Below is a breakdown of the template and what each field links to. Once you have entered in the required information select Save at the bottom of the page.
Once you have created a team you can then assign users to this team when editing their profile. Similarly, once a team is available, you can assign any new users to a team during the Add user process.
The ability to have parent and sub teams allows further customisation to how tasks and events can be allocated. These customisations carry through to the filters and reports as well. For example, you can have a parent team as Christmas parties and then sub teams as Sales, HR, and Equipment. They would then be displayed as follows :
Christmas Parties
-Sales
-HR
-Equipment
As the team field is a free text field you can input any label or name you wish.
Team name : Enter in any name you'd like. This will be displayed in all of the Team fields on EventWorks
Event code : This field allows you to choose an event code prefix that is then automatically assigned to any event contracted by this team. For example, if you enter TEAM1 as the event code, whenever an event (which that team is assigned to) is set to the Contracted status, the event code will change to have TEAM1 at the start of the event code. This will allow you to use the Event code filter to find events linked to a specific team.
Logo : Select the Choose file button to select an image for this team.
Parent team : This list is auto-populated with teams that have been created previously. If you select a team from the list then the team you are creating will appear as a sub-team and displayed in the format shown above.
