About the diary

The diary in EventWorks gives you a graphical representation of all events on the system.  There are several features built in to the diary to help you view events and resources quickly and easily.

At the top of the diary, there are various controls to help customise your view and to display various calendars.

The main controls are based on the right hand side just above the calendar itself. 



Here you can see the option to set the view to Week, Month, or a List (defaults to showing one week at a time).  You also can swap between the Agenda view and the Resources view.  Both of these views display the data in a weekly view.  The Agenda view shows items such as upcoming events and meetings scheduled, and the Resources view shows the availability of all of the resources that you have created on EventWorks.  Information on resources can be found here.

In each view, selecting an event will bring up the information panel for that event. In each view (excluding the List view), you can click and drag to select a time slot and the Create Event template will appear for the selected time/days.

Filters



Along the top line there are various filters that allow you to view selected items on the diary such as entries belonging to a specific team or users, entries that relate to specific resources, or events with a particular status.  These filters are very useful as your calendar fills up.  When you select each filter, a dropdown list will appear.  Simply make your selection and click Apply.
