Changing the Next Event Code
The Next event code field allows you to dictate the format that codes are generated for events. An event is given an incremented code upon creation based on the format you allocate. For example, if you set the Next event code to be EVENT0001, EventWorks will assign the next event EVENT0002, then EVENT0003 etc.
Select the cog at the top right of the page.
Select General Settings from the dropdown that appears.
Click on the Events tab.
Ensure that General Settings is highlight on the navigation bar on the left. The first option listed will be Next event code. Here you can see the format that EventWorks will follow.
To change any settings on the list select Edit settings in the top right of the panel. Change the format accordingly and then select Save at the bottom of the page.
Just below the Next event code field is the option to Assign event code to all events. When this code is selected then the Next event code format is then incremented and applied automatically to events that are created. If the option is unticked then an event code (following the Next event code format) is only assigned to an event once the status of the event is changed to Contracted.
