How to create a task and assign it to users
There are several ways to create a task on EventWorks. The most direct way is as follows :
On the navigation menu on the left select Tasks.
Here you can see all tasks that have been created within your organisation. Select the Create task button at the top right of the panel.
Assign a name to the task within the Title field and complete the template as required. A detailed list of every field is listed at the bottom of this article.
Use the Assigned to field to assign this task to as many users as needed. This means the task will appear on every user's task list.
Once completed select Create task to finalise the creation of the task.

The task will be listed on the Tasks overview page and can be found using the filters at the top of the page. You can easily edit any of the tasks listed by simply clicking on the task and selecting Edit within the Task info panel on the right of the page. This returns you to the task template. You can also view tasks using the Tasks widget which can be added to any dashboard. For more information on the Tasks widget click here.
On the task template you can assign more users to the task by using the Assign to field. Once you have made any amendments select Save. Alternatively you can select Cancel to discard any changes.
Below is a list of each field within the Create Task template.
Title : Enter the title of the task. This will be the display name of the task.
Description : Enter in a description of the task. Use the toolbar to format the text and to add in documents or images.
Assigned to : This dropdown lists all users registered within your organisation. You can either scroll to find the desired user or you can type and select from the search results.
Type : Select from the dropdown what this task relates to.
Priority : Here you can set the priority of the task. When searching for tasks there is a filter directly related to this field allowing you to quickly see the tasks in order of importance.
Contact : Choose a contact from the dropdown list who will act as the main correspondence contact regarding this task.
