Marking a quote as sent



Once you have created a quote and it has been sent to the client you can mark the quote as sent on Eventworks.  This allows you to keep track of which quote has been issued to the client as well as updates the financial information for the event.

To mark a quote has sent:

From the event dashboard select the Quotes tab along the top.  Here you will see a list of all quotes created for the event.
Select the quote that has been sent to the client.  This will bring you to the Detailed quote page.
Along the top there are various controls which are explained in the article linked above.  Select the Mark as sent button.
You are given the option to Update estimated profit for this event. When selected, the figures from the quote - such as the Total price and Price per guest - will be updated in the Quote information panel.  Select Mark as sent to confirm your selection.

Once the quote has been marked as sent two things will happen, the Status of the quote is changed to Sent and the option Mark as sent is then automatically changed to two buttons : Accept and Decline. Information on accepting and declining quotes can be found here.

Note : once a quote has been marked as sent it cannot be returned to a Draft status.  You can, however, duplicate the quote and delete the quote that has been marked as Sent.
