Logging In
EventWorks uses a secure login page to protect your account. You can sign in with your email and password, or use your Google account for faster access.
Getting There
Your organisation has a unique EventWorks URL based on your company subdomain — for example, yourcompany.geteventworks.com. Navigate to this URL in your web browser to reach the login page.
Tip: Bookmark your login URL so you can get back to it quickly.
If you're not sure what your URL is, check the welcome email you received when your account was set up, or ask your account administrator.
Overview
The login page displays your organisation's logo (if one has been configured) along with the sign-in form. From here you can:
- Sign in with your email address and password
- Sign in with your Google account
- Request a password reset if you've forgotten your password
Signing In with Email and Password
- Open your organisation's EventWorks URL in your browser.
- Enter your email address in the first field.
- Enter your password in the second field.
- Optionally, tick the Stay logged in on this device checkbox to remain signed in between browser sessions.
- Click Log in.
You'll be taken straight to your dashboard.
Note: If you enter an incorrect email or password, you'll see an error message: "These credentials do not match our records." After five failed attempts in a row, your account will be temporarily locked for security — wait around a minute and try again.
Signing In with Google
If your organisation uses Google Workspace (formerly G Suite), you can sign in with your Google account instead of typing a password.
- On the login page, click the Sign in with Google button below the login form.
- You'll be redirected to Google's sign-in page. Select your Google account or enter your Google credentials.
- Once authenticated, you'll be redirected back to EventWorks and signed in automatically.
Note: Your Google account email address must match the email address associated with your EventWorks user account. Google sign-in does not create new accounts — if no matching account is found, you'll be returned to the login page with an error message.
Resetting Your Password
If you've forgotten your password, you can reset it directly from the login page.
Requesting a Reset Link
- On the login page, click the I forgot my password link below the sign-in form.
- Enter the email address associated with your EventWorks account.
- Click Send password reset link.
- Check your inbox for an email containing a password reset link.
Tip: If you don't see the email, check your spam or junk folder. Reset links expire after 60 minutes, so be sure to use the link promptly.
Setting a New Password
- Click the reset link in the email you received.
- Enter your email address to confirm your identity.
- Enter your new password.
- Enter the same password again in the confirm password field.
- Click Reset password.
You'll be signed in automatically and taken to your dashboard.
Setting Up Your Account for the First Time
When an administrator creates your user account, you'll receive a welcome email with a link to set your password. This link works the same way as a password reset — click it, choose your password, and you'll be signed in straight away.
Note: The setup link in your welcome email also expires after 60 minutes. If it has expired, go to the login page and use the I forgot my password link to request a fresh one.
Tips & Best Practices
Tip: Use the Stay logged in on this device option on trusted devices (such as your work computer) so you don't have to sign in every time you open EventWorks.
Warning: Avoid using Stay logged in on this device on shared or public computers. Always sign out when you're done to keep your account secure.
Tip: If your organisation uses Google Workspace, signing in with Google can be faster and means one fewer password to remember.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: I don't know my login URL. How do I find it?Your login URL is your company's subdomain followed by .geteventworks.com — for example, yourcompany.geteventworks.com. Check the welcome email you received when your account was created, or ask your account administrator.
First, make sure you're using the correct email address. Passwords are case-sensitive, so check your caps lock key. If you've been locked out after too many failed attempts, wait about a minute before trying again. If you're still stuck, use the I forgot my password link to reset your password.
Q: I clicked "Sign in with Google" but got an error saying no account was found.Your Google email must match an existing EventWorks user account. Contact your account administrator to make sure your user account has been created with the same email address you use for Google.
Q: I didn't receive my password reset email. What should I do?Check your spam or junk folder. If it's not there, try requesting the reset link again. Make sure you're entering the exact email address associated with your EventWorks account. If you still don't receive it, contact your account administrator.
Q: Does EventWorks support two-factor authentication?Two-factor authentication is not currently available. We recommend using a strong, unique password and the Google sign-in option for added security.
Q: My account has been deactivated. What does that mean?If your administrator has deactivated your account, you'll be signed out automatically and see the message "Your account is no longer active." Contact your administrator to have your account reactivated.
