Electronic Signatures

Electronic signatures let you send event documents out for signing through Signable and track their progress from EventWorks. Once connected, you can request signatures, monitor status, and download the completed signed copy when it is ready.

Getting There

There are two places involved:

  • Settings > Integrations to connect Signable
  • An event's More > Documents tab to send a document for signature
Note: You need settings access to connect Signable. The signature actions only appear once Signable has been connected.

Overview

The Signable integration adds signature request options to eligible event documents. When a document is sent, EventWorks tracks whether it is waiting for signatures, complete, or cancelled.

Key Concepts

Signers and Copy Recipients

When sending a document for signature, you can add:

  • Signers — people who must sign the document
  • Copy recipients — people who should receive updates but do not need to sign

Document Statuses

Signature requests can show statuses such as:

  • Out for signature
  • Complete
  • Cancelled

Supported Documents

Electronic signature requests are available for eligible event documents. Template-builder documents are not shown with the signature request action in the current interface.

Check Signature Status

    • Return to the event's Documents tab.
    • Look at the document's status.
    • Wait for the status to change to Complete before downloading the signed copy.

Download the Completed Signed Document

    • Open the event's Documents tab.
    • Find the completed document.
    • Click Download complete document.

Settings & Configuration

  • Signable is connected from Settings > Integrations.
  • The integration uses an API key. EventWorks automatically registers a webhook with Signable on connection so signature statuses update in EventWorks as they change in Signable.
  • Signature options only appear once Signable has been connected, and they are hidden for template-builder documents.

Tips & Best Practices

Tip: Add yourself as a copy recipient if you want to receive the same signing updates as the signer.
Note: If you do not see Request signatures, the document may be a template-builder document (which is not supported for signing) or the Signable integration may not be connected yet.
