Building your own dashboard
The dashboard is a great place to display useful information when you first login. It can provide snapshots of lead progressions, sales completed by users, upcoming tasks, as well as various reports. You are able to completely customise what and where information is shown.
Below is a guide on how to customise a dashboard, how to view other dashboards created by other users, and to set a default dashboard for all users.
Select Dashboard from the navigation menu on the left.
If you select the Actions button near the top right of the page you can see all of the various actions you can perform for the dashboards. Select Create dashboard.
This will now give you an empty dashboard. Each grey square represents an area to which you can add a widget. The shapes of these grey boxes will change depending on what widget you opt to have displayed there.
Click the + button inside a dashboard area and then select the widget type you wish to add from the list.
Your widget has been added! If you want to adjust the size of the widget you can click and drag it to one of the other positions (the top position will be a small widget, the second row is a medium sized landscape widget, and the bottom is a large landscaped widget). Click on the pencil icon on the widget to change the configuration – each widget has different configuration options but all have a name and date range fields. A detailed breakdown of customisations can be found at the bottom of this article.
Click the Actions button while viewing your dashboard.
Click Share.
Select Share dashboard to confirm.
Your dashboard will now be listed when other users view available dashboards.
You can create as many dashboards as you like, and switching between them is simple.
Click the Actions button while viewing any dashboard
Click Switch dashboards.
Click the View button on the dashboard you wish to view
If you’d like to make this dashboard your default dashboard, click on the Actions button and then Make default for me.
You can also set a dashboard to be default for all users. Select Actions and then Make default for all users from the list. This will then set the dashboard to be the default for all users within your organisation.
